GlycoGenius published in Nature Communications

We are excited to share that our GlycoGenius publication has now officially been published in Nature Communications.

GlycoGenius was developed to address one of the major bottlenecks in glycomics and mass spectrometry workflows: the extensive manual effort required for glycomics data interpretation and annotation.

The platform provides an open-source and highly automated workflow for glycomics data analysis, including:

  • automated search-space generation,

  • glycan annotation,

  • scoring,

  • filtering,

  • quantification,

  • and intuitive visualization tools.

The workflow supports analysis of N- and O-glycans, glycosaminoglycans, and additional glycoconjugate classes while significantly reducing data-processing time.

This work was made possible through a highly collaborative effort involving researchers from the University of Groningen and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

A special congratulations to Dr. Hector F. Loponte and all collaborators involved in bringing this project to completion.
